The United Kingdom has been elected with its new Prime Minster Liz Truss. She was elected in early September this year. She seems all set and ready to set the foot in the right direction without wasting any moment of her Prime Minister-ship.
Many already know that for years Online Safety Bill is in controversial and she addresses that now without any delay this controversial bill would return to the House of Commons for a few changes. Hopefully, she would bring in the right amount of changes required.
Online Safety Bill has been in controversy for many years now.
The changes have been requested due to concerns over the bill’s impact on free speech. The bill has been drafted for years now but hasn’t been put into action yet and so the new Prime Minister Truss said that she will be going to push the changes forward so that the country’s overall freedom of speech is not hampered anymore.
The changes that will be brought into effect have been confirmed by the United Kingdom’s secretary of state, Michelle Donelan on Tuesday, September,20 who said that the changes are been worked upon and proper measures will be taken to see the same.
Not only had this but the secretary of state given a pinch of hint telling that changes would lift the restrictions on posts deemed harmful but legal. She didn’t say anything clearly but only left some hints.
She kind of left us all with some information though that the changes that will happen will surely going to list up some restrictions being put on the adults but even though if that happens, the content will still be protected for the children who browse online so that they are not harmed in any way.

What Measures Should Be Taken For Users?
Proper verifying measures should be taken to see whether the user is a minor or an adult. This at times also led the minors to be exposed to really harmful hate speeches and harassment hampering their state of mind.
The Online Safety Bill includes holding senior executives accountable if their respective companies fail to cooperate with requests for data. Not only this but many online safety campaigners have called for the prosecution of senior executives with some serious number of fines and some serious years of prison sentence.
The suggested form of details is not yet mentioned in the Online Safety Bill but most probably with all the changes, it will be mentioned in the bill. The House of Commoners is working with precision on the Online Safety Bill to protect the freedom of Speech of every citizen.
The bill will surely lift some restrictions on adults but will also protect children from seeing harmful material online and also will protect adults from harmful content too.
